Latest from the boatshop

The latest project in the boatshop is the refit of the 22' Devlin Surf Scoter "Bunky's uncle".

The boat was just a little too big to fit in either of the workshops, so Randy designed and built this bowshed, modelled after the ones commonly used in colder climates. It was economical to build, scalable, spacious and will be easy to store between projects.

It will even look a little like the Sydney Opera House... but with more visqueen.

WSB is a partnership of two neighbors and talented engineers: Randy Cox and Jeff Meeks.

Randy has been boating since his childhood on Fox Island in Washington State. He has a background in engineering & management and a lifetime of boating and boatbuilding experience and knows exactly what constitutes a good boat.

Jeff was born on Harstine Island, also in Washington. He built the computer-controlled panelcutting tools and applies the manufacturing expertise that enables West Satsop Boatworks to bring you accurate and well thought-out kits, made of the best available materials, at a competitive price.

They both have a passion for the water and customer service. Our mission is to build the best kits available, at a price that is affordable to you.
